ULLESKELF
Whitecotes Residential Park is set in the ancient Viking village of Ulleskelf. The village offers a lovely pub, The Ulleskelf Arms, as well as a post office and village shop for picking up a few groceries. The River Wharf also passes the village, and is a perfect place for fishing and dog walking. Less than a three mile drive from the village is Tadcaster, a delightful market town with a wider selection of pubs and breweries if you are fancying a night out close to home. Ulleskelf Railway Station serves Ulleskelf in North Yorkshire with regular Northern trains operating to Sheffield, Hull, Leeds, York and Blackpool
LEEDS
Just a 12 mile drive from our park, is the vibrant city of Leeds. The perfect location for a day out, Leeds offers several excellent spots for shopping and dining, such as Trinity Leeds, Kirkgate Quarter and several arcades. Leeds also hosts a range of museums, galleries, historic houses and parks. Or for those who are interested in sports there’s Elland Road Football Stadium and Yorkshire County Cricket Club, as well as plenty of golf courses.
YORK
Less than a 9 mile drive from our park, is the beautiful city of York. Home to the famous Shambles, offering quirky boutique shops and cafés, this street is a particular tourist favourite. For those interested in history, you can explore places such as York Minister, Clifford’s Tower or York Castle Museum. If it’s entertainment you are looking for, you could visit York Racecourse, watch a show at York Theatre Royal or enjoy live entertainment at the Grand Opera House.

Whitecotes Caravan Park is fortunate enough to be close to the well-established Scarthingwell Golf Course. A traditional 18-hole course, Scarthingwell has a reputation for its friendly and informal atmosphere.
